SpaceX IPO Mania: Retail Gold Rush at $1.75T Valuation Ignites Global Frenzy

Elon Musk's Rocket Giant Opens Doors to Everyday Investors—30% Allocation Sparks Unprecedented Scramble for Shares in Historic June Listing

People all over the world are quite excited about SpaceX’s imminent initial public offering (IPO). This is because there is an unprecedented amount of shares available for retail investors, which has caused a lot of excitement among individual shareholders. At a mind-boggling $1.75 trillion valuation, the business wants to raise up to $75 billion, which goes against the usual rules for IPOs.

IPO Timeline and Key Events

SpaceX laid out its plans for an IPO in a recent meeting with bankers, aiming for a roadshow to kick off the week of June 8, 2026. Bank analysts will meet executives on 7 June, followed by investor pitches the next day.

On June 11, are hosting a major event with 1,500 retail investors that has been called unprecedented in scale.

The public release of IPO prospectus is scheduled on late May 2026.

Record Retail Allocation

“The retail investor allocates will be the largest allocation percentage any IPO has done by far — 30% of shares, maybe a bit more,” said CFO Bret Johnsen.

The move also rewards long-time supporters of SpaceX and Elon Musk, having expanded access to retail investors in the US, UK, EU, Australia, Canada, Japan and Korea.

The retail demand was described by lead underwriters as “something they’ve never seen before.”

Massive Valuation and Underwriters

The $1.75 trillion target is an increase from the 2/23 post-merger valuation of xAI at $1.25 trillion and late-2025 tender offers of $800 billion.

Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs top the ranks of active bookrunners with 16 other banks supporting for institutional, retails and international distribution.

It could be the biggest I.P.O. ever, topping the $29 billion that Saudi Aramco raised in 2019.

Global Retail Frenzy

Its retail-heavy architecture has set off a global frenzy, with ordinary investors hunting for platforms and brokers to get in, circumventing traditional institutional hegemony.

Demand is on the rise in several regions, and analysts expect record response from non-US circulation.
