Jio calls the 28 days for prepaid plan a rectification. Thus, the cited X post notes the current recharge schedule without any fresh changes.
Just weeks after raising the rates of many daily, monthly, and annual prepaid and postpaid plans, Reliance Jio revealed on Friday the changes in its Rs. 349 prepaid recharge plan. According to the telecom operator, user comments guided the modifications. Although the new update raises the validity of the plan rather than the daily internet bandwidth given or the quantity of free SMS. Reliance Jio has notably labeled the Rs. 349 plan as Hero 5G.
Reliance Jio’s official handle on X (previously known as Twitter) revealed in a post the change of their entry-level package which provides limitless 5G in areas where the business has True 5G connectivity. Now thanks to the change, users can obtain a validity of thirty days rather than twenty-eight.
Although the daily data shows 2GB for the Rs. 349, with two days added, the total data now stands at 60GB instead of the prior 56GB. This also gives subscribers living in places where Jio has installed 5G service unlimited 5G internet access with this subscription.
Jio particularly claimed that this update resulted from user comments. The company did not indicate, though, whether any other prepaid or postpaid plans would similarly be changed going forward. The Rs. 349 prepaid package used to be costing Rs. 299 earlier.
Jio raised numerous other plan rates last month. Whereas the Rs. 666 prepaid plan with 1.5GB of data per day for 84 days was raised to Rs. 799, the monthly recharge plan of Rs. 209 which supplied 1GB of data per day was raised to Rs. 249. Additionally raised to Rs. 3,599 was the annual Rs. 2,399 prepaid plan including 2.5GB data.
Moreover, the 1GB data add-on pack of Rs. 15 saw a rise to Rs. 19 and the plans for Rs. 25 and Rs. 61 were lifted to Rs. 29 and Rs. 69, respectively. Previously paying Rs. 299 for 30GB of data, postpaid consumers now have to pay Rs. 349 for the billing cycle.
