Judging by reports, Anthropic investors want to price a potential IPO in October at more than $2 billion, which would make the debut of the AI company largest in history. The bullish view is fueled by the qualities of high growth, immense investor appetite and conviction that Anthropic’s Claude bets can continue to grow at a remarkable rate.
Some of Anthropic’s backers reportedly anticipate its annualized revenue will be as much as $100 billion-$120 billion at the end of 2026, up massively from approximately $47 billion in May. Others assert it could be worth even more if growth is close to 800% a year, with models going as high as $3 trillion.
This will come after a June report that Anthropic had filed to go public confidentially, and following an infusion of capital at a $965 billion post-money valuation. This implies that, within months, the IPO target would more than double its latest private-market value — an extraordinary surge even in today’s overpriced AI market.
However, the company has not yet finalized an IPO valuation and is still discussing the price, timing and size of the offering. This $2 trillion-plus figure is an expectation, not an official announcement from Anthropic — yet.
Should the IPO go off in that vicinity, it would propel Anthropic past SpaceX for the largest ever. And it would also help cement the company as one of the most bated names in the global AI arms race, which for an increasingly more public-market fixation now determines multitrillion-dollar value.
